An average day....

My sweet friend at New Every Morning tagged me. Sorry Gretchen it has taken me a few days. The tag is to tell your average day. I like Gretchen, don"t have average days.....but sometimes. Here is a somewhat typical day.

4:40 a.m.~ Hit snooze

4:50 a. m.~ Stumble into bathroom and try to not think bad thoughts about being awake

4:55~ Wake up splash on face, dress and half lace shoes for a dreaded morning run.

5:00~ Call running mate and head into the night...I mean morning.

5:10~Run and train for upcoming marathon

6:00 Head home for the shower and feel great, glad I ran

6:30-7:30 a.m Wake up two very unhappy munchkins who would rather stay in bed, dress them, and hubby and 1 munchkin rush off and daughter (still sleepy) rush to beat the 7:45 clock at the school house.

7:45 Continue prayers that somehow got left off in the morning madness and face 17 sweet, snotty nosed, needy and precious 4 year olds.

8:00-3:00 Sing, Dance, Discipline, Love, Teach, Mold, Laugh, Cry, while hoping to educate and challenge these little minds.

3:00-4:00 pm.~ Reunite with sweet girl of my own after a day of first grade and review her day, homework, straighten desk and munch on after school snacks.

4:00 On a really good day I do crunches and lunges....not so much anytime lately!!!

4:30 ~Home Sweet Dirty, Messy, Home~ Time to laugh and play with little munchkin and sister, while answering the phone, cleaning counters and making room to cook dinner. My husband helps a lot with dinner...so I really cant say this is everyday. The time flies and before I know it I am saying, "no, not before dinner, clean your room up, let me check your homework, set the table, be nice to your brother, be nice to your sister, we don't write on the wall son, sister no snatching thats not nice, time to eat, do you want to go to your room, clean off the table, time for bath, get out of the tub, ok now get out of the tub, didnt I tell you to get out of the tub?"

8:20 Now it time to start heading to bed.....prayers, teeth brushed, book....not too hard right.

8:30 Suppose to be bed time

8:45 No one is even in their beds

9:00 Goodnight everyone..........Sweet voices multiple times....Goodnight, Goodnight, Can I have my fan, my radio stopped playing, I have to poo poo, Im thirsty, Goodnight, I need a hug, Goodnight

9:15 plop in Chair!

9:20 Think about the awful pile of dishes from dinner, get up and go turn on faucet to start washing.......think a second....go sit back in chair.

9:30-11:00 Dream on the internet how I will redo my daughters room ONE DAY, check email, Blog of course and drool over the multiple beautiful homes and talent. Brush teeth, lay out clothes for school, pick up a magazine, lay magazine back down, on to bed.

11:00 Lay down in the cozy bed to pray, start dozing, finish praying, start worrying about daily stresses and somehow tire myself out. All for another day tomorrow.

I say these things just like all of you moms out there.....a little tiring and weary most days. But, with a bit of humor and a bit of seriousness.....I love being a mom and my "typical days." The Lord has graciously given me two healthy kids and so much in my home to enjoy. I want my days to stay typical. I pray that I will gain an even more mindset of contentment. It is so easy to make a typical day "just another day!" How I wish I could put time in a bottle. Thanks for keepin it real Gretchen. I learned a lot by reciting my day!

I love grapevine. This wreath hangs in my den.

I dislike this table very much...but it will do for now.

(Plans to jazz up the branches in the near future)

This table is cuter in person, but I made that banner:) I cant wait to make more!

I just got this garland and am still working on this shelf, but heres a peak.

Nothing fabulous, but a few fall touches around my house. Sorry the pictures are not the greatest.

Hello fellow bloggers!!! I feel like I have been taken away by aliens!!! I have been wiped out and am recovering from a few franticly busy weeks. Nothing serious, just a few 4 year olds!:) I am trying to slow down and truly see the beauty of fall around me. The crisp air and fall decorations are so inviting. I have been busily performing a makeover in my bathroom and cant wait to show you the transformation. I also found numerous bargins at Canton this last weekend and a bunch of fun finds at a garage sale. Those pictures to come as soon as I can stop long enough to download them. I miss you all so much I really cant stand it! I am going to get "the show on the road," and get to being a better blogger!!!!!!!!

A thought to leave you with : As I was re-viewing my bible study on Daniel this morning Beth Moore was referring to Daniel Ch 1. She was stating how Daniel would not resolve to the luxuries of a kings food, but rather just have less. the point Beth was making was he would not resolve to the things of this world! We will not resolve either. Boy it is hard, but today I ask myself what of this world can I give up?
