My First Award!!

Wow! I am so excited. My new blogging pal thought I was worthy of this super sweet blog award! I thought only"famous" bloggers were worthy of such a sweet gesture. Kinda silly for me to be drooling over huh? Hey, it doesnt take much to make this chic happy!!I met my friend at New Every Morning a few months ago and have loved getting to know her. We have so much in common and I just love her sweetness and love for the Lord. She inspires me more than she knows. Thanks for the award bloggy sista!! I would pass it to many, but am going to pass it to the following four....especially since I am such a distracted blogger and slow typer!!!!!

Shannon at Bless Our Nest.....Shannon will make your eyes smile. She has super pictures of her home and recently took us on a blog home tour. Beautiful!!! Shannon loves the Lord and wants to make her home special. Oh, by the way Shannon shops at this fab place called OOPS! For all of my Texas girls....dont be looking for one anywhere close by. Maybe we can roadtrip to Shannons and go to OOPS and stay in her beautiful geust rooms!!!!

Ok, I say I am not a blog stalker, but I am reconsitering that thought.......maybe a little.......Heidi @Mt. Hope Chronicles is truely the best. I have been working on getting some inspiration for my home and trying to add a bit of pizazz. So I found this circle collage on Mt. Hope and fell head over heals. I did not think mine would be near as cute and probably not flow color wise.......well i finally did it and I love it. I broke my camera and so my replacement is not so super clear, but it is a camera right? So the color is not near as good as in person. I am making some accessories to comeplete the look. Double Daves pizza and pepporroni rolls + best friend= FABULOUS!!!!!! Check out the kids watching the throwing of the dough. Quite entertaining even for girls in their 30's! What a super day with Nichole, Ayden and Hunter!!!

Awesome Aunt Denise

Aunt Denise took Madeline on the best outing of her life! They spent the day together on Mads real bday and went to lunch, shopping, toy store and ice cream! Wheww! She had a ball and loved shopping at Hobby Lobby with her aunt and eating coffee flavored ice cream. Aunt Denise is super cool and has always been special to all of us. She is great with my precious gal. Thanks Denise. We love you.

Madelines Art Party

We had a blast at the party decorating bags, frames, wands and cupcakes!!! I had some great help. Kyley was so super sweet to come and help me with the assembly of the frames and coral the girls. Even when she didnt feel the best.....your the best Chicka! Thanks to everyone for making Madelines bday special!

Thank you so much for allowing me to be a mommy to Madeline. I know she is yours Lord and only on loan to me for a short time. I pray Lord that Madeline will follow your ways and be an excellent example of a woman of God. Protect her Lord and most of all thank you so much for six wonderful years that you have blessed me with. I pray Lord that I will surrender and give her all to you and trust what you have for this beautiful daughter of yours. I love you Lord and I love you Madeline.

Furniture gets 2nd chance!

Here is my 13 year old (Yikes!!) kitchen table. This table has been through many, many meals, projects, and studying. I have been searching for 5 years for the perfect priced, white round table and well since I am doing the Dave Ramsey budget.......a coat of paint is way more in my blow money than a new table! I sanded the table and chairs and wiped them down with a damp rag. I then had my sweet hubby spay( thanks for that :) with his cool, fast high tech sprayer, a coat of black paint. I then distressed them. I am a bit worried that I got carried away with the distressing! I am not sure if I want less distress or not????? But I do love the look and it totally changes the look of my kitchen.......although it did not make my cabinets look better. They are awful and I hope to give them a second chance at life very soon.

Fourth of July Weekend!

Madeline is almost 6!

Madeline will be six this week! Boy how we all say time flys! Here is one of Madelines invitations for her art party. We are going very low key this year and are only having 5 girls over to paint and craft. We are going to paint frames, tote bags and a wand. Each girl will also get to decorate her own cupcake! Its a decorate party....right up Madeline's ally.

Crafter Wannabe!!

Here are a few projects that many of my "more advanced" crafters have inspired me to do. It is a start and have many more to fill my wish list this summer. I made this K for my family room and it was so inexpensive. The k was $1.60 at Hobby Lobby with %40 off and the paper was .50 with 1/2 off. So for less than $3.00 I have a cute letter that I was able to pick the design. It didnt take long at all!!!

Here is a canvas that I made from scrapbook paper, ribbon and a little paint! I think it is cute for my very first one! Much better than what I tried to paint underneath!!!

We are off........

Well, we are oficially off and running!!! We are planting a new church nearby in Midway. Kris has had a burden for many months now to open an abandon chuch that has been vacant for many years. So after MUCH prayer, thought and now many opened doors....we begin working for the Lord. What a scary thing, but exciting at the same time! The questions and critisizing may come, but we must remember our main concern is that the PEOPLE come! Not necessarily numbers, but those searching to find the love of our awesome and mighty God. I am so excited about our mission.....our goal is to reach unchurched people in our area and make church a casual, comfortable, welcoming and warm place. We will welcome anyone in uniform that has to work at the nearby prisons and will have a Cafe 21 to fellowhip with donuts and coffee before worship service. Our services will be fun and yet prayerfully led by what God has laid on Kris' heart. We are currently searching for a music leader.......we are currently cleaning the church and are preparing to paint. It is going to be a bit Pottery Barn looking. That is a fun part......but many painting days ahead. So anyone who wants to help.......(hee hee... I know) give me a hollar!

21 Fellowhip is our name and the above logo is not final.....but we like it alot. The 1 in 21 may changed a bit to resemble a 1 rather than a t. Many things are to come like garage sales and paraking lot parties! I know all or most of my readers know about this plan, but I kindly ask for your prayers on the journey.
